We cannot stress this enough: Exercise extreme caution when encountering such messages and refrain from interacting with any unfamiliar people or bots. It’s essential to remember that Telegram will never request your personal information, such as phone numbers or any form of verification, through a bot.
To ensure the safety of our community, we kindly ask you to report any suspicious activity or messages to our moderation team immediately. Together, we can create a secure and thriving environment for all Furry Refuge members.

FR TO BE OFFLINE FOR A MONTH
Hello! It is with a lot of grief that i have to announce furry refuge game servers and radio will be offline until some time mid to late april. once again, we’re moving locations.. but we’re trying to get as much in order as we can before we turn it off to get it back online asap once we receive the servers.
i’m uploading the website to a service that’ll keep it online temporarily while we move and VRChat world, discord, telegram, chats and all will still be online though! the radio, however, will be offline so when we have DJ mixes, it will be hosted from youtube. thank you for understanding. its not optimal, but hopefully after this move, we will be able to have the servers in a permanent location.
We’re gonna be hosted in Connecticut, home to Furpocalypse and ConnectiCon! The hope is to foster a local community in CT, so if you are a CT fur, contact us! -
We’re Now Part of the Official Furry Fediverse!
We’ve been accepted and listed on https://furryfediverse.org/ to let other federated furs know we exist and to try our instance! If you check it out, you can see we’re one of a handful of others! Very happy to have made it here! If you check out the site you can also see a very useful tool for finding furry friends from twitter and other places and following them on their linked mastodon accounts (just in case, hah!). We encourage users to use that tool, but not to post your mastodon account to twitter if you haven’t already, because that’s now against twitter’s TOS. I don’t think there’s a way around it. And, this update from us wont be posted on twitter and i bet you can guess why! I really hope this changes, but in the mean time, join us!

Mastodon is a really cool federated social platform and a great replacement for twitter!… and we’re part of it! We’re hosting our own node at social.furryrefuge.com which you can be a part of!
Mastodon allows communities like us or even yourself to host a server and let people join. Then you can check out other servers and follow them, effectively linking two servers together automatically! The more other users follow people, the more media we’ll be able to see on our server! The community itself decides what they can see! And the best part is that no one can shut us down! Mastodon is completely self-hosted and community-run. We don’t have a big twitter CEO breathing down our necks about what we can and cannot post. So, if you’re worried about twitter, try out mastodon with us!

Furry Refuge Radio! teaming up with Furry Broadcasting Network!
We’re proud of our little radio station but we want it to grow. our mission as you might’ve seen on our about page is to not leave anyone out. its to take care of the community and make sure everyone is included and having fun. Our radio helps us accomplish that by creating a community-run project with DJs, strictly furry media, and showcases of artists right here from our community! As you might also have heard, we’re talking to “Straight From The Muzzle” about broadcasting their podcast on our stream for your entertainment of 100% furry themed media, music, and more! Get involved with the radio by simply asking staff! Mrs Feathers, GRT (Furry Refuge Leaders), Silver Eagle (programmer of AzuraCast), and CodeSteele help run our radio and DJ Queen Angel does our weekly DJ sets on fridays at 4pm Mountain Standard Time! We are currently looking for artists who want to showcase themselves, DJs who want to play sets, and podcasters who want to broadcast media… This is a community project, if you want to try your hand at a radio show, you’re welcome to come and try it out! Talk to one of us in the chats to get more information on how you can help out or have your own radio show on our radio!

A New Way To Listen
We’ve got a lot of neat stuff happening around Furry Refuge, but one of the coolest things is that one of the furs from our Audio Engineering chat is creating his own new type of headphones! Its just a smaller project aside from his full time job of creating audio devices, but Aurastys projects are all really cool!
