  • A Stroll Above The Big Apple

A group of over 25 fursuiters pose under a giant pigeon statue. It was a Sunday morning, and dozens of furries squished together at the back of Moynihan Train Hall (connected to Penn Station) in New York City. As more rail passengers were gathering to have a bite in the food court, the furries decided to move to an empty hallway near the west exit. Badges were handed out. On them: “NYC FurWalk“.

This was the second fursuit walk around Manhattan, organized by Champion Zane and Fane Vuh’uni, two furs from New Jersey. (The irony is not lost on them.) The first, held at the start of February, had ten partial fursuiters and around twenty participants, Zane told me. The second, held last weekend, attracted around 70 furries, with just over two dozen suiters, and one who brought her full fursuit. Most of the non-suiters wore furry-designed shirts.

  • Texas bill targets ‘furries,’ banning non-human behavior in schools

Yet another case of blaming furries for something they never did.

    The Brief

      • A new Texas bill, known as the FURRIES Act, would ban non-human behaviors in public schools, including the use of litter boxes and wearing animal accessories.
      • The bill prohibits students from presenting themselves as anything other than human, with exemptions for events like Halloween.
      • Students who violate the law could face suspension, expulsion, or placement in a juvenile justice education program.
      • Educators who fail to enforce the law could face fines, with penalties starting at $10,000.

What’s not allowed under this proposal

    • Using a litter box to relieve oneself
    • Wearing non-human accessories, such as:Tails Leashes Collars Accessories designed for petsFur (other than natural human hair or wigs)Animal-like ears Items not historically designed for humans
    • Tails
    • Leashes
    • Collars
    • Accessories designed for pets
    • Fur (other than natural human hair or wigs)
    • Animal-like ears
    • Items not historically designed for humans
    • Making animal noises such as barking, meowing, or hissing
    • Licking oneself for grooming

Any furry can clearly agree that a lot of what is stated above never actually happened in any school.

It’s clearly another case of attacking furries because they know we won’t fight back
